Seikura Beach in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan Province

What are the reasons to visit Bulungan Regency? Well, tourists have a different reason to visit that beautiful region. One of them is to explore Bunyu Island. Even though it costs some time and efforts to reach the island, the reward is quite astonishing. These including the presence of a stunning beach called Seikura. Both the serenity and beauty of the beach impress visitors, after all. As for tourist activities, these include water sports, beach walking, photography, playing kites, and relaxation. Some people also conduct beach sports like volley and soccer in the afternoon!

The Nuance
When it comes to nuance, Seikura Beach is similar to Serdang Beach. It has a vast white sandy shoreline and looks pristine. The size even becomes longer during the low tide. As for the contour, it is soft-textured and sloping! In the back, tourists may find some dry trees as well. Somehow, those trees become an interesting background for photography. Another noticeable feature is definitely the low waves and warm seawater. Several boats are also seen on the shore sometimes. The good news is the beach is also accessible at night, which offers a distinct nuance to tourists.

Exploring Seikura Beach
Tourists may hear the history of Seikura Beach once they arrive at the location and meet the locals. It is said the site was once used by local employees for resting. No wonder, tourists may find an old building in that area. The accessibility is nice, but the road has a bad condition. The next noticeable thing is none other than villagers’ houses. However, local people have left this settlement for years. This explains why those houses are abandoned and damaged. Despite the fact, they become a great object for photography.

There is no entrance fee, so tourists can get in and explore Seikura Beach freely. As for tourist activities, the most famous one is indeed beach walking. Visitors take advantage of the soft-textured sandy landscape for an exploration regardless of the time of the visit. The white color of the shoreline looks more astonishing at noon, though, due to the reflection of the sun on the sand. The sea looks more beautiful as well at the time.

When it comes to the best nuance, tourists should visit Seikura Beach in the afternoon. The ambiance becomes soother at the time. Not to mention visitors are able to watch a romantic sunset from the shoreline. The silhouette of traditional boats is seen on the horizon, too. Those who love swimming, they can do it safely due to calm waves and sloping contour of the shore!
