Smoky Beach in Nusa Penida Island, Bali Province

When visiting Nusa Penida Island of Bali Province, tourists should not forget to explore all its natural attractions, especially beaches. Here is the reference. The name is Smoky Beach, which is located in Sakti Village. Another name is Pasih Andus Beach. The locals gave the name “smoky”, due to the water smoke that is formed due to the splash of big waves. Visitors’ prime reason is indeed to watch the phenomenon. However, tourists also come to the beach for other fun activities like photography and coral reef exploration. Swimming is not recommended, though, due to the big waves.

The Nuance
The nuance is peaceful, warm, and soothing. This is why some people take advantage of the ambiance for relaxation. Still, the most famous feature is the big waves that often hit the coral reef. The powerful splash of waves creates a watery smoke, as well! When hitting the skin, it feels so refreshing! The next good thing is that the beach resides near to another famous vacation destination called Pasih Uug Beach, which tourists can visit later. What is more? On the horizon, tourists may see Nusa Ceningan Island too!

Exploring Smoky Beach
Smokey Beach is quite different as compared to other beaches in Nusa Penida Island. The reason is that the beach features the strongest waves than others. This explains why tourists are not allowed to get in the sea or enjoy swimming. As an alternative, they can simply explore the shoreline and enjoy an amazing nuance. It feels breezy due to the warm sea wind. Not to mention the sound of splashing waves would astonish all visitors.

The most recommended thing to do in Smoky Beach is to explore the cliffs for better sea scenery. One thing, tourists should be careful when walking on the cliff. The surface is rough and slippery, after all. Also, don’t get too near to the tip of the cliff as the waves often splash strongly in that area. Here is another tip. Tourists should carry a camera in order to capture the moment and big splashing background on the site. It requires the right time to take the best photos, though.

For the information, Pasih Andus Beach got the name, which is derived from the local language. The meaning is a beach with spurting water! For detailed info, tourists can simply ask the locals later during the visit. As for another tourist activity, visitors should consider reaching a nearby beautiful island called Ceningan. The location is across the beach, after all. What tourists need is only a good boat service.
