Parang Endog Hill in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region

It is a known knowledge. Bantul Regency has lots of stunning beaches, located in the south part of the region. The number of visitors or tourists indeed increases over time! One thing, the region has more than exotic beaches, though. Located near to Parangtritis Beach, tourists can find a nice place for sightseeing and relaxation. The name is Parang Endog Hill. The exact location is in Parangtritis Village and it belongs to Kretek Sub-District. The hill’s prime allure is definitely the amazing panoramas. It even offers a similar beauty to that of Bukit Bintang’s and Ratu Boko’s.

The Nuance
When it comes to the nuance, Parang Endog Hill has a serene ambiance. Despite the popularity and a high number of visitors, it doesn’t look as merry as Parangtritis Beach. Perhaps the majority of visitors get to the site only for casual tourist activities like photography, sightseeing, and relaxation. The first amazing panorama is none other than the sea scenery. Visitors can also witness the views of beaches on the horizon like Depok, Parang Kusumo, and Parangtritis Beach. Next, the hill has the best sunset view in the afternoon! This explains why most people visit the site only in the dusk.

Exploring Parang Endog Hill
In terms of function, Parang Endog Hill is meant to accommodate gliders. It becomes the base for paragliding, in fact. This explains why most people visit the hill to watch the activity. One thing, no rental facilities are available, so commoners won’t be able to enjoy paragliding. On the other hand, some official events often occur like the Jogja Air Show. As long as tourists come at the right time, they are able to watch paragliding show, which was done by professionals.

The next motive to visit Parang Endog Hill is to enjoy trekking and sightseeing. It is true that a route to the site is challenging. Have no worries. Visitors can take advantage of the stairs in order to reach the top of the hill. Here is the tip. The best time to visit the location is definitely in the afternoon due to a more comfortable ambiance and better panoramas. Also, in the dusk, tourists have the chance to witness the beautiful sunset with their friends or families.

Aside from the sunset, Parang Endog Hill’s best panorama is the vast Indian Ocean. Not to mention several beaches can be seen on the horizon (as mentioned earlier). With all these amazing views, therefore, all tourists must carry a camera and conduct photography. Many great objects are worth to capture, after all.
