Seruni Beach in Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region

Some tourists may have heard about the famous beach in Gunung Kidul Regency, which is called Seruni. The location is in Tepus Sub-District and it becomes another popular vacation spot to visit after Pok Tunggal Beach. It is true that the beach has different charms as compared to others (explained later). As for tourist activities, both locals and outsiders come to the beach to enjoy several activities especially camping. The pristine environment and the presence of nice facilities would soothe all visitors, as well. Plus, the accessibility is considered easy, as the location is near to Pok Tunggal.

The Nuance
When it comes to the nuance, Seruni Beach is considered more peaceful than Pok Tunggal. Still, both of them are similar in some ways. For instance, there is the white soft-textured shoreline. Also, the waves are quite big and the wind is strong. One different thing is the presence of a small waterfall located on a nearby cliff. To be exact, it resides in the east part of the shoreline. However, it is only recommended to visit it during the rainy season, when the water discharge is plenty.

How to Get There
From Jakarta City, tourists can simply take an airplane at Soekarno – Hatta International Airport and head to Adisucipto Airport. This flight may take around 1 hour and 10 minutes. After arriving at the airport, the next destination is Gunung Kidul Regency and the best route to take is Nasional III Street. Usually, this trip may take around 1 hour and 9 minutes as the distance is 44.8 km. Next, tourists should take Tepus Street and head to Seruni Beach. This trip would take around 41 minutes and the distance is 18.7 km.
