Padang Savana Bomberay
Fakfak Regency is very blessed with various kinds of enchanting natural ecosystems. In addition to the forest and coastal ecosystems, Fakfak Regency also has a beautiful Padang Savana ecosystem. You will feel that you are in a different area from the pasture and enjoy the view of the meadow hills that stretch all the way. The location of Padang Savana is in the Bomberay District and takes about three to four hours from the center of the capital city of Fakfak.
Because it has the potential for vast and fertile pastures, currently the Bomberay area, covering an area of 50 hectares, was built a cattle ranch. The success of planting Brachiaria humidicola (Bh) grass on Bomberay soil made of clay and sandstone has been phenomenal and has had a major effect on increasing the optimism of the community and other related parties. They began to believe in the development of the livestock and agriculture sector in Bomberay.
Ranch functions as a source of animal feed from selected grass, planted and managed according to correct management guidelines as well as the construction of other facilities and infrastructure. The scope of the ranch function turns out to be broader, namely as an integrated location for implementing livestock technology such as artificial insemination, livestock genetic breeding, waste processing, and feed processing technology.
