Nanggroë Aceh Darussalam
Aceh, settled on the northern tip of Indonesia properly located on North Sumatera. Aceh is one of Indonesia religiously conservative area, because this is the area with mostly Moslem are lay and fact of the evidence of the beginning of Islam in Southeast Asia.
At early begin, Aceh was exist with their Sultanate governmental lead by A Sultan of Aceh for about 16th and 17th Century. The kingdom was a great wealth kingdom and had become an increasingly influential power due to its strategic location for controlling regional trade.
After the Indonesian Independence toward Dutch colonial, Aceh was amalgamate with others area at North Sumatera, which there are cultural diversities within the province, and Christian Bataknese was the major inhabitant at that time [until nowadays]. Hence, Acehnese was rebelling to the Indonesian government about their owned territory. This rebellion took years. Afterward, the government decided to gave Aceh their “special territory” or “Daerah Istimewa Aceh” status
Aceh commodities are complete as other province in Indonesia, and this special territory is like a promise land for some industrial like agricultures and fisheries, oil and gas mining and some other resources.
The remarkable thing of Aceh happened when the earthquake on December 26, 2004 effecting a great tsunami. Many people died, many families was separate from their relatives, and it was become an international blast. It was the moment of moaning morning of sadness. Many people are homeless for their lose their home and some others was stuck on the building ruined. One remarkable miracle happened when the Great Mosque of Baiturahman still firm and strongly stand on its feet without any wounded on it.
From those historical time lines, Aceh nowadays has become a strong area, concerning their recovery after the great tsunami and become promising territory of Indonesia.
