Relax for a while at Dato Beach, Majene

As a coastal area, Majene Regency, located in West Sulawesi province of Indonesia, has a range of beaches are the mainstay attractions of this region. One of them is Dato Beach, Majene. The beach is located in Pangale Hamlet, Baurung Village, East Banggae District, Majene Regency, presents a soothing natural view. Simply by using a private vehicle or public vehicle commonly called pete-pete, the trip to Dato Beach which is about 7 km from the City of Majene only takes approximately 15 minutes. Dato Beach has two parts of the beach with white sand and coral. On this beach, there is a fairly large size coral which is equipped with a ladder so that visitors who want to enjoy view from the top of rock can easily climb it. Visitors will be spoiled with views of color of sea water from Dato Beach which is graded from green to dark blue from the top of rock. If you are not satisfied with just enjoying the charm from above, visitors can also snorkel or swim on the beach to feel the fresh sea water of Dato Beach directly.

Around Dato Beach there are several lodging facilities that can be an option for visitors who want to spend the night in the beach area. In addition to the beauty of its beaches, a typical culinary tour of Majene region in the form of flying fish and thousand fish is also a must try when visiting this area. Every year in August to September at Dato Beach there is an event called the Sandeq Race which is a Sandeq boat race which is a typical boat of the Mandar Tribe. Relaxing for a moment at Dato Beach can be an alternative choice to just unwind and feel the calm atmosphere around the beach.
