Bugel Beach in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta
Not all people realize the fact that Kulon Progo Regency has many beautiful beaches to explore. Well, aside from Glagah Indah Beach, other options are available including the one called Bugel. As the name suggests, it is located in Bugel Village and belongs to Panjatan Sub-District. Due to the secluded location, the beach doesn’t have as many visitors as Glagah indeed. However, it has a similar beauty to such famous beach in Indonesia! Not to mention it has many stunning objects that suit everyone’s photography hobby. Plus, the nuance is good enough to spend a relaxing and peaceful holiday with families.
In terms of nuance, Bugel Beach offers a serene ambiance due to the secluded location. The first impressive feature is the presence of various sizes of rocks scattered on different parts of the shore. Next, the beach has a short shoreline featuring soft white sand as well. When it comes to the sea, the water looks shallow and clear located near to the shore. Plus, it offers small waves and warm water! No wonder, most visitors are likely to enjoy swimming and snorkeling there. What is more? The next recognizable feature is the formation of pine trees that grow beautifully near to the shoreline. They create a comfy and shady ambiance, so tourists are able to relax comfortably there (especially in the morning).
Exploring Bugel Beach
The first impression once arriving at Bugel Beach is definitely the serenity. It is because not many people have been aware of the presence of the beach (especially those who live outside Kulon Progo). No wonder, the atmosphere feels so peaceful! It feels like spending a holiday on a private beach in Indonesia! What tourists may see is only the pristine beach with the small waves. Plus, many big rocks are scattered on the shorelines (which become a great object for photography).
The next impressive allure in Bugel Beach is none other than the clarity of sea water. Tourists can even see fishes and corals clearly even from the shore. It even feels greater if they get in the water and enjoy either swimming or snorkeling there. One thing, no facilities are available nearby who can lend them the snorkeling gear. That means they must have prepared the equipment beforehand.
Another allure in Bugel Beach is the presence of local fishermen who are often seen on the shore fishing. Tourists can simply take photos of those fishermen or even join them! Here is the good news. There is no fee at all in entering the area, so everyone can freely park their vehicle and come anytime regardless of the occasion.
