Ngobaran Beach in Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region

Located in the southeast part of Yogyakarta Special Region, Gunung Kidul Regency becomes another tourist allure to explore. The region is known especially for its stunning beaches! Here is an example. The name is Ngobaran Beach, which is located in Kanigoro Village. Like other southern beaches, this one features fierce waves. However, several things make the beach different than others. For instance, it doesn’t have a sandy shoreline. Instead, the beach offers tall coral cliffs and some facilities nearby. People usually come to the beach either for relaxation or sightseeing. Families can also rent a villa or eat seafood there, too!

How to Get There
For those coming from Jakarta City, they should take advantage of an airplane service at Soekarno – Hatta International Airport and head to Adisucipto Airport right away. Usually, this flight may take around 1 hour and 10 minutes. After arriving at the airport, the next destination is Gunung Kidul Regency and tourists can get there by taking Nasional III Street. The distance is 44.8 km, so the trip would take around 1 hour and 9 minutes. From Gunung Kidul, they can take Baron Street and head to Ngobaran Beach immediately. This trip may take around 54 minutes, as the distance is 27.7 km.
