Ambun Tanai Park Square in Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province

Maninjau Lake indeed becomes the most significant tourist allure in Agam Regency. Not to mention it features lots of minor vacation spots that surround the area. One of them is called Ambun Tanai Park Square! This serene and beautiful park is located on the east side of the road before reaching Kelok 44. Not to mention the park is accessible either from Agam or Buktittinggi City. To be exact, it resides in Matua Mudiak Village and belongs to Matur Sub-District. Along the way to the destination, tourists may see lots of souvenirs and pumpkin vendors. These people also often give directions to outsiders or those who have never visited the park before.

The Nuance
Ambun Tanai Park Square is located on a low hill and above Maninjau Lake. That means tourists can witness the lake clearly from that spot. The nuance is refreshing, especially in the morning. The park is surrounded by hills and local houses on the horizon. If tourists come earlier in the morning, the park is covered by fog! As for features, it comes with grassy landscapes and some small plants. Several gazebos are available and tourists may see a kid playground there. These include swings, slides, and much more!

Exploring Ambun Tanai Park Square
It is true that visitors need to pay an entrance fee in order to access Ambun Tanai Park Square. Have no worries. It doesn’t cost much! After all, everyone can use all the facilities freely once entering the park. The most favorite spot would be the kid playground, without a doubt. This explains why most visitors are local parents who come to spend a family recreation with their children. They simply supervise the kids on the playground and roll out a mat on the grassy land.

Eating together also becomes the tourists’ favorite activity there. The first recommended spot is the grassy landscape. As an alternative, tourists can use the gazebos to relax and eat with family members comfortably. Moreover, the site comes with lots of colorful flowers, too! Thus, it is recommended to carry a camera and collect some good photos during the visit. Those flowers would impress everyone, for sure.

For the information, Ambun Tanai Park Square also features a viewing post for both sightseeing and photography. That means this park becomes a good alternative to watch Maninjau Lake panorama aside from Puncak Lawang. Later, tourists should drop by in the famous street called Kelok 44, too! The location is quite near, after all.
