Karampuang Island in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi Province


Located in the northwest of Mamuju Regency, Karampuang Island indeed becomes another vacation spot for tourists to visit during their spare time. In terms of name, it means Bulan or moon actually. Another name is Pulau Buaya or Crocodile Island. The locals gave the name due to the island’s shape, which is similar to such reptile. How to Get There
The first destination is Mamuju City and the best way to get there is by airplane. From Soekarno – Hatta International Airport, the flight may take about 4 hours and 35 minutes to get to Tampa Padang Airport at Mamuju. From the airport, the next destination is a local port where tourists can find a boat service. Lastly, they can simply cross the sea and get to Karampuang Island right away.
