Dayanginna Beach in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi Province

Some tourists keep looking for a new vacation destination when they come to Mamuju Regency. If they are into coastal areas, they must choose Dayanginna Beach for the next destination. Another name is Galung Bach, as it is located in Galung Village of Tapalang Sub-District. Even though this one is not suitable for swimming, the beach offers a comfy nuance for relaxation and it becomes a good place for sightseeing! Another reason why people are interested in visiting the beach is the chance to meet local fishermen who live and work nearby. These people rely on the sea to make money and survive, after all.

The Nuance
If it is about the nuance, Dayanginna Beach features a brown sandy shoreline. The texture is not quite soft, though, so tourists must wear comfy footwear when walk and explore the beach. The waves are moderate, but the water doesn’t have a nice clarity. That means swimming and snorkeling are not recommended. In the back, tourists may see a formation of trees (most of them are coconuts) and some abandoned benches. That spot becomes the best place to enjoy relaxation, without a doubt. The next impressive feature is the view of mountains on the horizon! This explains why some people would conduct photography there.

Exploring Dayanginna Beach
Even though Dayanginna Beach is not as merry as Tapandullu or other famous beaches in Mamuju Regency, it is worth a visit without a doubt. In fact, tourists can take advantage of the serenity to enjoy relaxation and get rid of stresses. For a more peaceful ambiance, it is recommended to come to the beach late in the afternoon. The purpose is to enjoy the soothing dusk without the presence of too many visitors. The beach even feels quite romantic at the time.

Aside from relaxation, Dayanginna Beach is suitable to enjoy sightseeing and photography. What tourists need to do is to get to the best spot and witness sea scenery comfortably. The most recommended spot is where the simple benches reside. Also, it is better to come during the sunset in the afternoon. Here is the tip. The beach gives a romantic ambiance, so it is suitable for spending a good time with a lover.

One thing that makes Dayanginna Beach unique is the presence of a local settlement, which is located near to the shoreline. No wonder, some local kids are often seen on the beach playing beach soccer and running around by the shore. What is more? The beach is known for the numerous small estuaries, including the downstream of Anusu River.
