Babana Beach in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi Province

Many beautiful beaches await tourists in Mamuju Regency. For the example, there is Bebana Beach! This one, as the name suggests, is located in Bebana Village and it belongs to Budong-Budong Sub-District. The location is near to the village office, so it offers an easy access for everyone. Not to mention it resides near to the famous Bebana Port (which only takes about 10 minutes to get there). Aside from such excellent accessibility, the beach is also known for its comfy atmosphere to enjoy a relaxing vacation either alone or with families. Visitors can also enjoy casual water sports like swimming, in fact!

The Nuance
As mentioned before, Babana Beach’s best feature is the comfy nuance. Not only it comes with such a soothing atmosphere, but the beach also offers beautiful sea scenery and satisfying accommodations. The most recognizable one is the formation of gazebos located on the shoreline. The good thing is tourists are allowed to use those facilities freely! The next noticeable feature is the lush mangroves seen near to the port. As for the shoreline, it comes both in the white and black sand. Have no worries. The texture is soft, so everyone can walk on it comfortably even if they go barefoot.

Exploring Babana Beach
The most popular object in Babana Beach perhaps is the formation of gazebos where tourists can enjoy relaxation in a comfortable manner. The best thing is those gazebos are built well, so they come in a sturdy condition. In terms of size, they are able to accommodate about 6-7 people. Thus, families with kids should take advantage of the facility to enjoy a recreation and eating together!

Aside from relaxation, Babana Beach is suitable to enjoy beach walking and exploration. It is because tourists can find two types of shoreline, which are the white and black sand. Have no worries. Both of them come with a soft texture, so tourists don’t even need to wear any footwear while exploring the shoreline. Here is the tip. During the beach walking, everyone should drop by at the nearby mangroves and take some photos there. The location is quite near, after all. As an alternative, they can visit the nearby pier and conduct sightseeing on that area.

Another thing that tourists can do in Babana Beach is definitely snorkeling or diving. After renting the snorkeling gear, they can get in the water directly. For beginners, they should hire an instructor though. Even though the number of fishes and corals is not as many as other beaches, it is worth to explore without a doubt!
