Baluno Beach in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province

West Sulawesi Province is known for unique cultures of Mandar Tribe and local beaches. This explains why more tourists are interested to visit the region these days. As for the reference, Majene Regency becomes a good choice especially for those who love exotic beaches in Indonesia! Here is an example. The name is Baluno Beach and the location is in Sendana Sub-District. This beach resides in Pundau Village and is bordering with the famous local mangrove learning center. Thus, tourists can explore two stunning vacation spots at once during the same visit later.

The Nuance
Unlike regular beaches that feature white sandy shoreline, Baluno Beach doesn’t have it. Instead, it offers a lush environment with some mangroves on it. The fact is that the location is near to a mangrove site. In that area, tourists can also find some posts where local keepers work. Usually, outsiders would ask permission from the guards for camping. In terms of nuance, actually, the beach looks calm and feels refreshing. The sea doesn’t come with big waves either. This serenity is, somehow, suitable to get rid of stresses!

Exploring Baluno Beach
Once arriving at Baluno Beach, tourists may notice the most interesting object there. It is none other than the colorful bridge. The locals paint it beautifully using several bright colors, so the bridge looks more astounding than other objects in that location. In terms of function, the bridge connects the shoreline with a certain spot in the mangrove site. Usually, tourists would conduct photography, sightseeing, and relaxation on this wooden bridge too! For better relaxation experience, it is recommended to hire a cottage, which is located near to the guard posts!

Well, the next recommended thing to do in Baluno Beach is to rent a raft and explore the site comfortably. Later, tourists can even explore nearby mangrove site and collect beautiful photos. After that, they can simply rest at available food vendors and buy some foods while resting. The next adventure begins sooner, after all. What is it? It is a beach walking! Fragments of corals are scattered on the shoreline, though, so it is recommended to wear comfy footwear while exploring the location.

For those who love nature and flora, they can approach local keepers and gather further information regarding local mangroves. It is said more than 5 thousand mangroves grow healthily from Tammerogdo Village to Baluno Beach. In this beach, the number of mangroves is considered the best. Well, tourists can get more information from them later during the visit.
