South Sulawesi Adventure Trip: Rante Mario Sumit – Toraja Rafting Tour 8 Days/7 Nights
Day 1 : Arrival Makassar
Arrival at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport of Makassar, meeting service and proceed to Makassar city. Arrive in Makassar city, check in at Swissbel-Inn Makassar.
Day 2 : Makassar – Enrekang / Bambapuang (B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel, leaving for Enrekang with approximate driving time of 6 hours. Stop in Pare Pare for Lunch. Arrive in Enrekang regency, transfer to Bambapuang Village for overnight at Bambapuang Resort & Spa for accommodation and dinner.
Day 3 : Bambapuang – Karangan (B,L,D)
After breakfast, transfer to Karangan by Car till the end of the road and continue by foot for approximate 2 hours. Lunch enroute with a lunch box. Arrive in Karangan, check in at Head of Village Homestay for overnight and dinner.
Day 4 : Karangan – Post # 7 (B,L,D)
After breakfast, start climbing the mountain till Post # 7 where you will be overnight. Lunch will be served enroute in Lunch box. Arrive in Post # 7, install the tent for sleeping and overnight. Dinner will be prepared by your Guide.
Day 5 : Karangan – Rante Mario Sumit- Karangan – Bambapuang – Tana Toraja (B,L,D)
Early morning before breakfast, approximate 6 AM, start walking up to the summit of Rante Mario (3478m above the sea level). Rantemario is the highest mountain in Sulawesi. It is located in the Latimojong Range, to the south of the Tana Toraja region, in southwestern Sulawesi. The top is a rather flat area (“rante” = flat, “mario” = quiet). Rantemario, unlike most other Indonesian mountains, is not a volcano. After for some moments at the summit, start to walk back to Post # 7 for your breakfast and continue walking down to Karangan. Arrive in Karangan, heading back to Bambapuang and continue to Tana Toraja. Lunch enroute. Arrived in Tana Toraja, check in at Misiliana Hotel for accommodation and dinner.
Day 6 : Toraja Rafting Tour (B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel, at 8AM, you will be picked up by our Rafting Team with a 4WD Jeep to transfer you to Bua Kayu Village where you will be started the rafting. On the way, visiting Traditional Houses of Tana Toraja named Tongkonan and as well a megalithic stone. Arrived in Bua Kayu, entering river side for rafting point. Lunch enroute at the riverside. Overnight with tent, camping at river side.
Day 7 : Toraja Rafting Tour (B,L,D)
After breakfast, start the rafting trip again till Enrekang area where the car standby for pick you up. Lunch enroute. Arrived in Enrekang, transfer to Bambapuang for overnight and dinner.
Day 8 : Bambapuang – Makassar (B,L)
After breakfast, driving back to Makassar. Stop in Pare Pare for lunch and continue to Makassar Airport for your next destination.
