Kalimantan’s Sight (4 Days / 3 Nights)

Day 01: BANJARMASIN, CEMPAKA, MERATUS MOUNTAIN, BENUA RAYA (LD)
Upon arrival at Banjarmasin airport, meeting service, by car/minibus transfer to Cempaka village, where local people at a traditional way dig for gem-stones and diamonds, afterwards we continue by car to the Meratus Mountains for a beautifull view over Kalimantan ‘s landscape of the green Jungle, before we proceed to Benua Raya village to see the water buffaloes in the swamp forest. Dinner at Local Restaurant and overnight at Pelaihari Hotel.

Day 02: PELAIHARI, JORONG RIVER, BEACH BARBEQUE, BANJARMASIN (BLD)
Breakfast, before we proceed to the harbor from where we cruise the Jorong river through the swamp and lowland forest to spot wildlife creatures as crocodiles, proboscis monkeys, langurs, endemic Borneo birds species, and other wild animals. In the afternoon we will reach the beach for a barbeque lunch and to explore the daily life of the local fisherman, swimming or enjoy the sun from the beach. Late afternoon we return to Banjarmasin passing the rice fields and swamp landscape. Dinner at Local Restaurant on the way, overnight at Hotel Banjarmasin.

Day 03: FLOATING MARKET, PALANGKARAYA, Mt. TANGKILING, RUNGAN SARI (BLD)
Early in the morning, we will visit the floating market of Banjarmasin as being part of Kalimantan ’s river-life, here we can explore the unique culture of Banjarese who trade commodities as fruit, and vegetables from boat to boat. Afterwards we return to the hotel, check-out of the Hotel, and continue our journey overland by car/minibus to Palangka Raya, on the way you see village life with rice plantations, and swamp forest. Upon arrival at Palangkaraya, we check in at Rungan Sari Lodge. Lunch on the way at local restaurant, In the afternoon, we bring a visit to the Mount Tangkiling, which give us a nice view of Kalimantan ‘s emerald jungle landscape from the top. We continue to visit the orangutan Rehabilitation center Nyaru Menteng arboretum for information of the rehabilitation process of these wildlife creatures, which can only be found at Sumatra and Borneo Island, We close our day visits with a romantic sunset which we can view the best from the Tahai lake. Dinner at Local Restaurant.

Day 04: KAJA ISLAND, PALANGKARAYA AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast in the morning, we will proceed to the harbor of Rungan River for s cruise by canoe upstream Rungan River to Kaja Island ( Pulau Kaja ), Kaja Island is covered with lowland forest, with lots of wildlife and birds, where we can spot the orangutans from the river side, Afterwards we return to Sari Lodge, free at leisure, till departure time to Palangkaraya airport to catch your flight to your next destination.
