Discover Two Main Cities of KALTIM (3D/ 2N)

Balikpapan and Samarinda will discover two main cities of East Kalimantan (KALTIM) of Indonesia. Samarinda is the Capital of East Kalimantan and served as a hub to explore Mahakam River. Balikpapan is the major oil town of Indonesia and served as a transport hub for East Kalimantan.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1 (L / D)
BALIKPAPAN – SAMARINDA
Upon arrival at Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapan. Meet and greet session. We proceed to Samarinda overland, the journey may take about 2 hours 30 minutes. We will visit Desa Papang (Papang Village) for close-up view about culture and tradition of Dayak Tribe with Dayak Cultural dance. Hotel check in and rest before we have our seafood dinner.

DAY 2 (B / L / D)
SAMARINDA – KUTAI
After breakfast, we proceed to Kutai, about 40 minutes drives’ away.  Kutai Kartanegara ing Martadipura (Martapura) Sultanate, the oldest known kingdom in Indonesia, believed established in year 1300. Upon arrival at Kutai, we will visit Mulawarman Museum and tour about Kutai Kartanegara Sultanate. Then, we will visit Tenggarong Fantasy World, an amusement park located in Kumala Island exactly at the centre of Mahakam River. On the boat-like island an amusement park of 85 hectare wide was established in 2002, including resort. Transfer back to Samarinda.

DAY 3 (B / L / D)
SAMARINDA – BALIKPAPAN – CITY TOUR
After breakfast, hotel check out and we proceed to Balikpapan to visit orang-utan and Honey Bear conservation area. Then, we continue to visit Kebun Sayur Market, this market full of souvenirs, antiques, gemstones, other precious stones, handmade bags and other special products of East Kalimantan and Balikpapan city tour before transfer back to Hotel.

DAY 4 (B)
BALIKPAPAN
After breakfast, free at leisure until time for transfer to Sepinggan Airport for departure.
