Likupang Beach


This beach is one of famous beaches in North Sulawesi Province. The exact location of this beach is in District Likupang, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. The distance is about 48 kilometers northeast of the center of Manado city.

Likupang is a white sandy beach, with green hills and blue sea water that refreshing mind. The waves is relatively quiet, because in front of the beach there is Bangka island that also served as a barrier for big wave that might coming towards Likupang Beach. The panorama in coastal area is also wonderful. On this beach, you can do snorkeling, diving and fishing. From this beach, you can also cross over to Bangka Island by motor boat; from beach Likupang to Bangka Island, the journey time is only about 20 minutes away. Likupang beach is much visited by tourists, both domestic and foreign. Some facilities such as diving equipment rental, food stalls, parking areas and lodging is available in this coastal region.

The beach is located about 48 kilometers northeast of Manado city. From the center of Manado city, you can use a private vehicle or public transportation to get to the beach location.

When using private vehicles, the routes that you can take will be Manado - Dimembe - Likupang. From Likupang, you just follow the directions at the sign board toward Likupang Beach.

When using public transportation, you can use the services of transportation such as the bus from Terminal Paal 2. The transportion will take you to arrive into Terminal Likupang. From Terminal Likupang, the journey will be continuing by using motorcycle taxis or other public transport.
