JAKARTA: Ten international and eight local teams have confirmed they will take part in the Speedy Tour d’Indonesia cycling tourney.
The 1,793-kilometer, 12-stage tour will set out from Jakarta on Nov. 23 and finish in Bali on Dec. 5.
Indonesia Cycling Association (ISSI) deputy chairman Sofian Ruzian said Tuesday the international teams would include Jazzy Sports Beacon from the Philippines, Japan National Team, Jajo Spirit of Sport from Switzerland and host Polygon Sweet Nice Team. Local teams will include Dodol Picnic and Jakarta Cycling Club.
“Preparations are 95 percent complete. However, we are still concerned about the cash pledged by the sponsor,” Sofian said. — JP
