People who live near Wonogiri Regency may have heard about Wayang Kulit Museum. Actually, another famous museum resides there and the name is Karst Indonesia Museum. The location is in Gebangharjo Village and it belongs to Pracimantoro Sub-District. As the name suggests, the museum stores information related to karst and many miniatures or replicas. The next destination is the base floor where tourists can find several prehistoric human fossils and cultural tools. The theme of this floor is Karst for Living. What about the second floor? Well, tourists can find an auditorium up there. Usually, the management conducts a presentation, meeting, or even plays some movies in that place. Tourists would be lucky if they come at the right time. Another thing that they can do on the second floor is to watch the scenery outside. The karst hills can be seen clearly from that spot!

One of the most favorite spots in Karst Museum is the prehistoric room. Tourists can even take photos and selfies with any available objects there, including the prehistoric human statues. As long as they don’t cause any damages, they are good to go. Another important rule is that everyone should avoid littering at all cost!

A trip to Wonogiri Regency may take about 3 hours and 47 minutes if tourists come from Semarang City. It is because the distance is 176 km. Once they arrive at Wonogiri, their next destination is Gebangharjo Village at Pracimantoro Sub-District. This one may take about 1 hour and 38 minutes, as the distance is 57.5 km. As for the best route, it is recommended to take Pracimantoro – Wonogiri Street.
