Paralayang Hill in Semarang Regency, Central Java Province

For those who have visited Semarang Regency, they would have a good impression regarding a vacation destination called Bandungan Tourist Area. The location is on the slope of Ungaran Mountain and it comes with tons of interesting tourist sites either for fun or relaxing activities in Indonesia. In this case, Paralayang Hill is not an exception. This one is suitable for those who love extreme sports and adventure. Well, paragliding is a new experience for most people after all. Have no worries. Everyone is able to do it because the management provides an instructor who flies with them during the activity.

The Nuance
To be exact, the location is near to a famous tourist site called Umbul Sidomukti. It resides on 1700 meters above the sea level, featuring lots of natural attractions and stunning panoramas. During paragliding, the views are even better and tourists can watch vast local farms clearly. The thing is the wind can be too strong sometimes, so everyone should choose the right time to do it. As for the crowd, the site usually doesn’t have many visitors on regular days. On the other hands, it gets lots of visitors during weekends and holidays. The most crowded time perhaps is between April and September (which is the best times to enjoy paragliding).

Exploring Paralayang Hill
Before visiting Paralayang Hill to enjoy paragliding, everyone should consider the weather first. After all, they should not do this kind of sports carelessly. According to the locals, the most ideal time is in June (when the wind is friendly and the weather is nice). That means tourists are able to avoid rain and other weather-related issues at the time. As for the best wind, it is in April!

Aside from the weather, the next important thing to consider is the budget. Unlike regular sports, paragliding requires more money. It is because tourists need to rent the equipment and pay the instructor’s service at once. Have no worries. The management provides an excellent service and safety, so it is going to be a worthy expense. Also, everyone needs the money to enjoy the local coffee at the available coffee vendor (which is located near to the paragliding post).

The good thing is everyone is able to enjoy paragliding regardless of the experience and knowledge. As for beginners, a professional instructor may fly with them. Thus, it is going to be safe and comfortable! For those who have lots of experiences, on the other hand, should try flying alone! It is going to be challenging, no? For the information, the duration is about 15 to 30 minutes depending on the weather. The departure is at 1700 meters above the sea level and the land point is at Sidomukti soccer field.
