Umbul Brondong in Klaten Regency, Central Java Province

These days, Klaten Regency represents natural baths and pristine river tourism. In fact, the popularity keeps increasing and has lured lots of outsiders over time. As for the reference, tourists can head to Kebonarum Sub-District where Umbul Brondong is located. The exact location is in Ngrundul Village and it becomes another great place for enjoying water sports and family recreation. Even though the popularity is not the same as Umbul Ponggok, the number of visitors is considered many. Not to mention the site looks both beautiful and well-managed. Moreover, the location is near to Umbul Pluneng, so tourists can visit these two beautiful natural baths easily without spending too much time.

The Nuance
Umbul Brondong is only 2 km apart from Umbul Pluneng. This one offers a comfier nuance, though. It is because the pond was built in the middle of local farms, so it features stunning rural panoramas and exotic tropical trees like Banyan and bamboos. The size of the pond is not quite big, though. No wonder, it feels a little bit cramped during holidays and weekends due to a bigger number of visitors. The next recognizable feature is the presence of services that offer rental buoys or float tires to visitors. What is more? The pond resides under a big tree that gives shadiness to those who play in the water! Isn’t that great?

Exploring Umbul Brondong
The first thing that people can enjoy in Umbul Brondong is none other than the comfy nuance. That means tourists don’t have to get in the water in order to enjoy the vacation. They can simply sit and relax while watching exotic views of local farms. Sometimes, those farms appear green while at other times, they look yellowish. It depends on when tourists visit the location, though. Sightseeing feels comfier if it is done during the best time, for sure. It is none other than during the hot season! At the time, the local farms look prettier and more exotic!

After enjoying relaxation and sightseeing, it is better to get in the water and enjoy bathing. The water feels refreshing and it has excellent clarity, as well. Even kids can enjoy it safely, as the pond has a depth of only about 1 meter. Once again, tourists must choose the right time in order to enjoy the activity. It is none other than in the morning when the weather feels the best. The air feels more refreshing and the nuance feels more peaceful at the time, without a doubt. For those who want a merrier nuance, in this case, they must visit the site during long holidays and weekends. At these times, the nuance feels more crowded for sure.

Bathing and swimming are the two best things to do in Umbul Brondong. Still, tourists can do other fun activities like a family gathering and eat together. This can be done at the sides of the ponds. Tourists only need to carry foods and mat in order to enjoy the activity. The only rule is that they must pay attention to the environment. That means littering is prohibited. At least, they must put the trash in plastic bags and throw them out later.
