Songgo Langit Waterfall in Jepara Regency, Central Java Province

It resides in Bucu Village and belongs to Kembang Sub-District. The waterfall is known for its beauty and unique landscape, actually. The only consideration is the fact that the pond features a deep riverbed having the depth of about 8 meters! Thus, all people should be careful when swimming or taking a bath in it.

Another allure is the legend behind Songgo Langit Waterfall. It is said a young man married to a girl from a nearby village. Due to a misunderstanding with the girl’s parents, though, he decided to bring the girl back to his house. Unfortunately, they got an accident and fell into a valley where the waterfall resides now. Their bodies weren’t found until now including the cart that they rode on. For further information, tourists can learn it from villagers later.

How to Get There
From Semarang City, tourists need to spend about 1 hour and 50 minutes to get to Songgo Langit Waterfall. The distance is 76.6 km, after all. Later, from Jepara, their next destination is Bucu Village at Kembang Sub-District where the waterfall is located. This trip may take around 51 minutes, as the distance is 32.4 km. It can be faster if tourists take Jepara – Bangsri Street, though.
