Lapeo Beach in Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi Province

While exploring Mamuju City (the capital of West Sulawesi Province), it is recommended to visit a unique beach called Lapeo. The location is in Campalagian Sub-District and it belongs to Polewali Mandar Regency. To be exact, it is located in Baqbatoa Village. The good thing is the beach is quite noticeable due to the strategic location. It even resides near to Nurul Taubah Mosque which is built by Imam Lapeo. Moreover, the locals have built a big signboard located near to the entrance of the beach. For the information, the beach was once called Pasir Asin Beach

How to Get There

The first destination is Mamuju City and the best way to get there is by airplane. From Jakarta City, tourists only need to take an airplane at Soekarno – Hatta International Airport and head to Tampa Padang Airport. This may take about 4 hours and 35 minutes, actually. Once they arrive at Mamuju, they can simply head to Baqbatoa Village at Campalagian Sub-District where the beach resides. The distance is 187 km, so this long trip takes around 4 hours and 15 minutes. It can be faster if tourists take Poros Majene – Mamuju Street, though.
