Lembongan Island or in Balinese language Nusa Lembongan is a small island near to the Nusa Ceningan and 2 km northwest of Nusa Penida, located in the Badung Strait to the southeast of Bali island. This island has 4.6 km in length and width of 1 to 1.5 km located approximately in 11 km of southeast of Bali. Administratively, this island including the region of Klungkung regency, Bali province, Indonesia.

The main livelihood of the society in Nusa Lembongan is a seaweed farmer. Much more work in the tourism sector and supporting the tourism sector. Nusa Lembongan is divided into two villages namely Lembongan Village and Jungubatu Village.

The main population centre of the island is Lembongan Village in the southern interior, and it is here that you will find the homes of most traditional island families. While the views from the Bukit are perhaps second to none on Nusa Lembongan. Sunsets are best viewed along the main Jungut Batu beachfront.

There are more visitors who come to Nusa Lembongan that to Nusa Penida, for there are some interesting destinations that the tourist can explore more instead of diving or snorkeling. In Nusa Lembongan there are white sandy beachs which is very attractive to be visited, natural and hand0made cave, sea cliffs, swamps and many more.

While the attractive and famous beaches in Lembongan are; Sanghyang Cape Coast, Dream Beach, Selagimpak, Selambung, Sunset Beach, Pemalikan, Lebaoh or seaweed central coast, mushroom bay and many more.

There are several options according to budget and speed to reach Nusa Lembongan. Most of the scheduled services leave from Sanur Beach at the end of Jalan Hangtuah, and involve getting your feet wet. The exact departure and arrival point on this beach depends on the tide. Other services run from Benoa Harbour, and there are local public boat services to and from Padang Bai and Kusamba in East Bali, but these are not recommended for reasons of safety and comfort.

Nusa Lembongan is a nice place to walk, with coastal paths linking nearly all the guest houses, hotels and restaurants. Most walks will take less than two hours. The less developed southwestern area of the island has some spectacular coast paths which provide easy walking, great views back to Bali, and spectacular sunsets.
