Matahari Beach in Carita District, Banten Province

A vacation on a beach never disappoints tourists. In Banten Province, you have a beautiful beach called Matahari. It means “sun” in English. As the name suggests, it is a perfect coast to witness a sunset. If you come at the right time, you can even see Krakatoa Mountain clearly. This wonderful sight only appears when there is no fog around. The beach is situated in the roadside, which is Anyer Street. The size is about 9 hectares. Even though it comes without a long shoreline, more people come to this area over time.

The Nuance
The most impressive part of Matahari Beach is the strategic location. It is the place for witnessing sunset! The sun sets perfectly, so you would definitely enjoy it. When it comes to the shoreline, it is sloping. It also features white and soft sand. In the back, there are several coconut trees. Thus, you can enjoy a shady atmosphere there. The sea landscape is vast and beautiful. The waves aren’t big, so you can swim on it in a safe manner. Even your kids are allowed to play in the water.

Exploring Matahari Beach
In terms of beauty, it is inferior to Anyer Beach. Still, it is a worthy place to visit. So, what are the best things to do there? The option is limitless. There is a popular activity, though. Tourists often ride a traditional boat and explore the coast. Have no worries. The rent fee is definitely affordable. For kids, it is free! On the boat, you can feel the gusty wind and witness stunning sea scenery. The waves aren’t big either. That means the boat can go smoothly on the water.

Apart from riding a boat, tourists can take advantage of numerous water sports. For instance, there is a banana boat. It is suitable for both kids and adults. Next, swimming is also common. Thanks to the calm seawater! For those who can’t swim, there are floating tires to rent.  This way, you can swim in the water in a safe manner. If you don’t like water sports, you can simply play in the seashore. The sand is comfy and beautiful.

The best attraction in Matahari Beach is the sunset! Thus, you must not miss such opportunity in the afternoon. It can be better if you come with your spouse. The sunset becomes more romantic for you two. The beach even features facilities like gazebos. They are installed near to the shoreline. Before going home, you should visit nearby attractions.
